GCSE Moving Image Arts runs an annual portfolio clinic in February.
This gives teachers the opportunity to mark up to 3 sample candidate folders from both Component 2 and Component 3 (i.e. a maximum of 6 folders in total per centre) and submit the folders for feedback from the senior moderation team.
A general circular inviting submissions from all subjects is sent out in January each year to your Principal for distribution to the Head of Department for each subject listed in the invitation. The circular includes a portfolio clinic submission form. If you have not received this, please consult your school management or alternatively you could contact our moderation department and they can send it to you directly. Their email address is moderationteam@ccea.org.uk

Submission of Work
Submission of Moving Image Arts work to the portfolio clinic is the same as submitting work for moderation in the summer series. When preparing students’ digital work for submission, please follow guidance in Section 3 of the GCSE Moving Image Arts Instructions to Teachers booklet available in Useful Downloads in the Support Material section of this microsite.
Submission of Marks
Please download and use the mark sheets in the blue Useful Downloads box above for recording your marks and comments for each folder and each component. The mark sheets must be completed in hard copy and submitted alongside the portfolio clinic submission form and the candidate work. If you run out of space on the mark sheet, further commentary can be added on the portfolio clinic submission form. Please retain a copy of your marks and comments for your own records.
Feedback
Senior moderator feedback focuses on providing guidance regarding the application of the mark scheme but will refer to levels and mark bands rather than specific marks. Teachers can expect to receive feedback in March.
