Smashed Online
Smashed Online is an externally produced resource to educate young people about the risks and dangers associated with underage drinking. The resource supports the delivery of Northern Ireland Curriculum at Key Stage 3 and 4. The learning experience is structured around a cinematic film-based storyline, punctuated with interactive activities, self-directed learning tools, learner assessment, completion certificates and teacher guidance notes.
What is Smashed Online?
Smashed Online is a free Key Stage 3 (recommended 11-14yrs) alcohol education e-learning module that comprises an engaging film-based storyline and interactive activities to embed learning and encourage personal reflection.
This version of Smashed Online is completely new for 2021 and represents a significant update from the original version created in 2020.
The module, which takes around 60-90 minutes to complete (but can be undertaken in shorter sections), is fully aligned to the PSHE Association’s Programme of Study in GB and the NI curriculum.
- increase knowledge and understanding of the risks and dangers associated with underage drinking;
- increase awareness of the communication, personal and social skills required to keep safe from harm, make responsible choices, and resist social influence;
- reduce the number of young people who would consider drinking alcohol underage; and
- identify strategies for keeping safe from underage drinking particularly in social, peer group environments.
