The CCEA GCE German specification aims to develop students’ enthusiasm for and understanding of the language and culture in a variety of contexts.

Students learn to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively in German for a range of purposes. They also develop knowledge and understanding of themes relating to the society and culture, past and present, of a country or community where German is spoken.

The CCEA GCSE German specification develops students’ enthusiasm for the language while increasing their confidence in the four key skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
