The CCEA GCE Irish specification aims to develop students’ enthusiasm for and understanding of the language and culture in a variety of contexts.
Students learn to communicate confidently, clearly and effectively in Irish for a range of purposes. They also develop knowledge and understanding of themes relating to the society and culture, past and present, of a community where Irish is spoken.
