Belfast Mela

Belfast Mela is one of Northern Ireland’s largest arts festivals bringing together music, dance, arts and food from across the world to celebrate cultural diversity. It is produced by ArtsEkta (founded by Nisha Tandon), a multi-award winning cultural organisation that works to develop intercultural relationships at the heart of the community.

Belfast Mela takes place on the August bank holiday each year. It is a unique event bringing together music, dance, arts and other cultural events. Over the last decade it has grown dramatically. With the number and type of events increasing so much it is now recognised as a pioneer in the development of intercultural arts for Northern Ireland.
