Carl Frampton
Carl Frampton, MBE, was a professional boxer born on 21 February 1987. He had a successful amateur career before turning professional in 2009. Carl competed in two weight classes: featherweight and super-bantamweight. In 2016, he became the first boxer from Northern Ireland to have held world titles in two weight classes.
Carl Frampton retired from boxing on 3 April 2021 after being stopped by Jamel Herring in the sixth round of the super-featherweight world title contest in Dubai.
