CS Lewis
CS Lewis was born in Belfast in 1898, he was a British writer who wrote more than 30 books. The most famous are The Chronicles of Narnia. They have sold more than 100 million copies worldwide and have been adapted for television and cinema. A cartoon version of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was released in 1979. Another version was released in 2005.
CS Lewis died in 1963. Since then, a public space in Belfast was named CS Lewis Square to commemorate the author and his birth city. Here you’ll find sculptures of the characters from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
