Jason Smyth
Jason Smyth, born 1987, from Eglinton is an Irish sprint runner. Jason is a visually impaired champion Paralympic sprinter. He has won a total of five gold medals in 2008, 2012 and 2016. He has set new Paralympic and world records. He is the world’s fastest Paralympian, which is a dream he would never have imagined when he was growing up. The challenge of his eyesight loss has made him a stronger person and he has been able to win medals and break records.
