Jenny Bristow

Jenny Bristow, BEM, grew up on her family’s farm near Coleraine. She is a cook and cookery writer and is best known for her cookery television series produced by UTV. She made her first TV appearance in 1989 on Ulster Television and went on to produce her own TV series. She made seven series, produced by UTV, and achieved fame within and beyond these shores. Her series have been transmitted on television stations in the United States and Australia. She has also published 12 cookery books. She has had considerable influence both here and abroad in the promotion of healthy nutritional eating. As well as her television and writing work Jenny takes part in cookery demonstrations, in corporate and charitable events such as the Balmoral Show, and fundraising events for Northern Ireland charities. Jenny was awarded the British Empire Medal (BEM) in 2014 for services to broadcasting and the food industry in Northern Ireland.
