'Pages of the Sea' by Danny Boyle, Downhill beach
On 11 November 2018, thousands of people gathered on beaches across the UK to commemorate the millions of men and women who lost their lives in service during the First World War. On Downhill Beach, Co Londonderry, Rachel Ferguson from near Cookstown was remembered. She died in 1918 in Italy where she was serving as a nurse. An image of her face was portrayed on the beach.
