Sinéad Morrisey
Sinéad Morrisey, born 1972 in Portadown is a Northern Irish poet. She is the author of five books of poetry. In 2007 she achieved first place in the UK National Poetry Competition and in 2014 she won the TS Eliot prize for her fifth collection of poems – Parallax. Sinéad Morrisey has written about a wide range of subjects and some of her poems focus on family and being a mother. She taught creative writing at Queens University Belfast and now teaches creative writing at Newcastle University, England.
