Andrea Begley

Andrea Begley, born 1987, from Pomeroy is the niece of Irish country music singer Philomena Begley and is a singer-songwriter in her own right. Andrea is partially sighted. She started losing her sight at six years old and now only has 10 percent vision, but she has never let that stop her. She won The Voice UK in 2013 after which she recorded her first album. She has since released several singles and a second album in December 2019. Andrea is also a motivational speaker and gives talks about her own experiences of sight loss. She has overcome the many obstacles in her life. Andrea is chairwoman of the Northern Ireland network committee for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
