Cyber security

Northern Ireland is a world leader in cybersecurity. The UK’s Centre for Secure Information Technologies (CSIT) is based at Queen’s University, Belfast. It was founded in 2009 and is the UK’s Innovation and Knowledge Centre for cybersecurity. Its mission is to conduct major research in the field of secure information technologies and it is committed to making the UK the safest place to live and work online.

Leading US cybersecurity firms have chosen Northern Ireland as their international investment location. Five leading US cybersecurity companies have opened operations in Northern Ireland.
